Wowzers – week 30!!  Where has this year gone?  This week was patterns.  I had all these grand plans about what to photograph and the heat here in NC was just too much for me.  I could not get myself onboard with going outside in the 100 degree temps to take pictures.  I went up to my craft room and there are patterns everywhere but sitting in my window are these wooden spools of ribbon.  I felt it was perfect, well that is until I see my dirty window :(   Hope everyone is having a nice summer!

Now continue and check out what cool pattern Emily Remmick has for all of us to see!

Framed! This was the creative word for the week.  I had many ideas run through my mind but Gracie really was sick of me trying to do any of them.  I found I need a helper with her – unless I stick her in the mailbox. :)  I will fess-up and say that I took this photo while at the beach July 2nd.  I thought the grasses framed her perfectly while the wind blew her hair.

Now continue to check out what amazing framed masterpiece liza hall has in store for us :)

Up High! My family just spent a week in the mountains of NC and we were up high hiking every day.  I have to confess I did not take my camera on most hikes – just too heavy.  Every morning I was usually the first to rise and would go and sit on the back porch with my cup of java and this was the view.  Simply beautiful :)   On this morning, the sun was just beginning to light the sky and the moon was still “up high”!   I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the mountains, especially the little town of Blowing Rock.

Now head over and check out Liza Hall’s amazing up high shot.

Wow we are halfway through the 52 weeks :)    This week we were to shoot bokeh – so fun and I love it in my photos.  I could not decide between Gracie showing off  and bokeh balls with a flower, so enjoy them both.  Don’t forget to keep the circle going and check out the talented liza hall to see how she was inspired by our bokeh challenge.  I know it will be amazing :)

Hey mom, look what I can do :)

f 1.8 was our challenge and I loved this week because it is one of the ranges that I love to shoot in.  Last weekend was the big day for Preston and Alex as they became Mr. & Mrs. Preston Moore :) .  It could not have been a more perfect day.  We are so happy and feel blessed as our family grows.  They are in Whistler,  BC for their honeymoon and it also looks amazing from the few pictures that he as shared with me.

My house is very quite and little Gracie is saying, WHY ME???  I am sure you will get to know Gracie and Lexis, my new models :)   I am going to try and branch out,  but this week Gracie was my girl.  Now continue the circle and see what awesome shot Jenny Singleton, Frisco TX Baby Photographer: has to show us

This week we were to take a photo of something abstract.   I was determined not to miss a week so headed to my backyard to see what I could find.  Whipped out my macro lens and these are the two images that I found.  All the details have very abstract features, yet they form a perfect flower.  Isn’t God grand :)    This weekend Preston and Alex will be married.  We are so excited for them and Steve and I will officially be empty nesters :(

Now continue over and check out what Erin Dahl has exciting for us!!

Gosh can you believe that we are at week 23??  I am so pumped that I have not missed a week in the midst of wedding bliss around my house.  I told Preston that this week was “movement” and since it will be one of my last chances to have a model, he was going to have to help me.  Tonight we tried numerous things but this was the best I got :( .  Thanks Preston for being a trooper and hanging with me.  Not the greatest of pictures but does show a little movement.   This is something that I need more work on for sure!!

Please continue the circle and check out the motion on Emily Bjornson‘s blog!!

This week you will be glad to know that I actually got my camera out and took a picture.  My house is a little crazy and when I saw that “growth” was our challenge, I knew exactly what I was going to use as  my photo.  I have spent,  it seems like DAYS,  in my craft/work room lately.  As I prepare for the Rehearsal Dinner,  I have watched this mound of paper chains grow, which are just a few of the decorations.  It is all for those two that you see in the background, Preston and Alex.  The wedding is only 2 weeks away.  I have also been watching as my kid packs up all his things to move and start his new life with his wife in Charlotte.  It does bring tears to my eyes, but I am so happy for those two.  God has brought them together and as I watch them spread their wings and fly I do rejoice in all the new adventures that await them just around the corner.  I have watched Preston grow into a God fearing man and I could not be more proud.  He is going to be an amazing husband and awesome dad :)

Now head over and check out what Tammy Bilodeau, Whitecourt, AB Photographer has to show us for growth.

This week is winged creatures.  I will fess up once again, I did not take this photo this week.  It is really busy at my house until after June 16th when my son will get hitched to the love of his life, Alex.   I really am trying hard not to miss a week.  I know this is to challenge me each week, but at some point this photo challenged me.  It was a few months ago we rode down to Cherry Grove to visit some friends.  Gracie LOVES to chase birds on the beach so I knew the photo I would choose this week.  I love it because it is her and I too love to be on the beach. :)

Now check out Christa Paustenbaugh’s winged creature :)  It will be amazing I am sure.
