52 Fridays – Week 7

Posted on March 4, 2011

The journey continues and this week is Light filled: Use the sun to your advantage and paint an image of light! I realized that today was Thursday and I needed to be inspired!  This morning, as I was having my cup of coffee and yogurt, I looked out and the sun was rising behind my house.  Of course it does this every morning, but this morning it really seemed to speak to me, maybe because I was looking for it.    So I grabbed the camera and headed out the door.  I have this little church bird house that I bought almost 6 years ago.  I bought it because it reminds me of a song my grandma sang to me about the “Little Church in the Wild Woods”.  When I looked out this morning the sun was shining right over the steeple and the church had a special illumination.  I took these shots minutes apart as I moved around my “little Church in the woods” and you can see  how the light illuminates the church so differently from both sides.  The first one is like rays of hope streaming down from heaven and I could hear my grandma singing so sweetly in my ear.  She also sang that tune to my boys when they were small and before Alzheimer’s stole her away.   I love you grandma!

I should stop with those two – but I had to put the pansies in as well.  When I was headed back into my house these sit on my back porch.  The sun again was casting such a beautiful light on them I had to take a photo and of course I had to share it!   Enjoy and I apologize for the long post!

Every week under my post will be a link to another photographer, and she will link to another photographer, and it’ll keep going until it brings you full circle back here! It is a blast to see through everyones eyes what they saw!  I love that I am getting to know a little about each of you as I follow each week.  The is always a highlight to my week.  Thanks so much everyone!
