52 Fridays – Week 7
Posted on February 17, 2012
Ahh, this week is pink! Well that is my favorite color and despite all boys in my household, I try to throw in as much pink as possible. Most of those things around my house are boring so I headed out to buy some jelly beans for our candy dish. Easter is just around the corner you know and the fuzzy pink monkey – well what else would you expect for Valentine’s
Now head over to Viviana Serrano, Westchester, New York to check out her pink.

52 Fridays – Week 6
Posted on February 10, 2012
Love is our photo challenge this week. Gotta LOVE this boy!! Yes that is right, this is my baby and I love him dearly. He will be getting married to the sweetest girl, Alex in June of this year and leaving the nest. I have to say, I am so proud of my both my sons and the fine young men they have become.
Preston is finishing up his Master’s in Accounting and will graduate in May. He is also studying for the CPA exam which he will begin taking at the end of this month. He is following in his dad’s footsteps as well as his older brother, Josh. Wow a lot of accountants around here!! Josh, my oldest son, and his new wife, Mary Grace were married this past November and are loving married life. Steve and I are so happy with our growing family.
Before Preston left for class this morning I told him he had to help me with my photo. He is such a trooper and puts up with all my antics, well only for a little while longer. I guess in June I will have to come up with other things to shoot – no more kids at home.
Just a note: I often see all the adorable photos of your young children and it makes me wish I would have learned a little more about photography when they were small. I have lots of pictures because I always LOVED to take pictures, but believe me when I say they are pictures- not photographs. The truth is, they are still all my memories and I cherish them dearly. So all I am telling you is cherish each moment with your children – they grow so quickly.

52 Fridays – Week 5

On the shelf – umm! What to shoot for this one? It was my challenge for this week and as I was cleaning around my house I had a “light bulb” moment.
This winter has NOT been winter at all here in NC. Today was 70 degrees and just beautiful. Of course, this is not the norm for this time of year for sure, but I am loving it. I play tennis and normally hate this time of year because it is not too cold to play. Needless to say I am loving this winter and I hope it does not snow in March now that I am saying this . . . . . . SHhhhhhhhhh!!!!
I love to collect snowmen and I display them from November until March normally – well not this year. I decided I would take their picture and say I “BELIEVE” that winter is behind us so I can put them away until winter 2012! I am just so ready for spring now that is feels like spring, I want the calendar to say it is spring. So snowmen – until next winter – SEE YA!!

52 Fridays – Week 3

This week our photo challenge – WORDS. When I read this I had so many words go through my head, but next came the part about taking a photo of them. The week seem to get away from me and today I was thinking what can I do. These words are still up in my house and they bring comfort to my family. We just celebrated Christmas and Jesus Christ birthday. When you read in the Book of Isaiah of the coming King you read these words that you find on the plaque in the photo. The Bible is a book that has so many words, words that comfort, words that heal, words that bring peace to you, words that show Christ love for you and for me, just to say a few. This book is my favorite so I thought I would share these words with you. Now head over to Amy Ames, Holly Springs, NC Photographer, http://www.amyamesphotography.com to see what words she has to share with us all.

52 Fridays – Week 2

This week our buzz word is landscape. Today as I was driving around town to try and find the perfect spot, this spot came to mind. I pass the old barn quite often and love it. It sits on a very busy road but when you look across the landscape at this peaceful barn, doesn’t it make you wonder what went on there so many years ago. This farm I am sure was a working farm and I have heard that they plan to tear this beautiful barn down at some point in the near future. It saddens me to see our landscapes changing so much with less and less green space. Today was an absolute beautiful day and I really wanted to go over and sit in the grass and read a book, but since this was not my property thought I better drive on. I hope you enjoy!
Now hurry over to Christa Paustenbaugh, Manassas, VA Christa Paustenbaugh, Manassas, VA http://thepaustenbaughs.typepad.com (sorry but my link was not working so please click on her link) to check out her beautiful landscape.

52 Fridays – WEEK 1
Posted on January 6, 2012
I am so excited to get started on this new adventure for 2012. I started a blog circle last year and was unable to finish. My goal this year is to finish all 52 weeks – posting a new photo each week with a specific theme. My blog will link to another blog which will link to another until you have gone full circle. It is so much fun to follow along and see what everyone photographs. It is always a challenge to think outside the box but I am determined. I am looking so forward to getting to know all the other ladies/men that are embarking on this same adventure to learn and grow more in photography.
This week we were to take a photo with NEW being our theme. This was not too hard for me because for Christmas my sweet hubby gave me a new lens. I love the NEW Nikon 70-200 2.8 and I am excited to really get out and use it more and more. This photo is of my younger son Preston and his fiancé, Alex in NYC the week before Christmas. We went down to Rockefeller Center to take some pictures. It was 19 degrees and a little breezy. We were freezing no less – but not too cold to take a photos! The second one is of Grand Central Station as Steve and I were walking to breakfast one morning. The sunlight hit the clock perfect so I just had to share. Love the new lens.
Please continue the blog circle and see what Marianna Marinina, Busto Arsizio, Italy http://www.mariannamarinina.com/blog has for her New adventure.

52 Fridays – Week 36

I have missed you gals!! It is getting a little hectic around my house but I did not want to miss another week. This week is about color and what is my favorite color. It is NO secret and I have shared many times on here before, my favorite color is PINK. I love pink and I have very little in my house. I am the only girl and the boys take exception to their rooms being pink. I have a craft/work room and it has many touches of pink. I was going to take a picture of my work space but the weather has been a little grey around here so I changed my mine. I thought about an adorable photo shoot that I did over a year ago. This shoot was such a blast and these three girls stole my heart. This is only one of them but this outfit, well need I say more? Adorable, simply adorable. Gotta love pink
Now continue over and see what Ginger Unzueta www.gingerunzuetaphotography.com/blog favorite color is!

My Family is Growing
Posted on September 21, 2011
As both of my sons will soon be married and starting their own families, I feel many mixed emotions. As a mother of two sons, I feel a special bond with my boys. I love them with all I have and feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and two great sons. I am so proud of the young men they have become and that they have placed God in the center of their lives. I love that they are so happy – that makes mom happy too
There was a wedding shower for Mary Grace and Josh this past Sunday and since Josh was home for the weekend I decided it was time for some NEW FAMILY photos. This is my new family and I love each one of them. As I have shared before, Josh & Mary Grace will marry November 5th, 2011 and Preston and Alex will marry June 16, 2012. EXCITING times at the Moore house!
Amy was sweet enough to come out and put up with our craziness! There are so many cute ones to share but this one – just love it! Thanks Amy – you are the best!

52 Fridays – Week 33

Labor: What labor do you do? What labor does your husband do? What labor are you thankful for? This was a tough one for me. I do not work outside the home and as I have shared before, my husband says that I am a professional hobbyist. Hope you all realize what a tough job being a professional hobbyist can be. I am constantly trying to explain it to my husband
I am very thankful that I was able to be a stay at home mom for my boys but now they are grown. Preston, my baby, is 22 and he still needs mom sometimes but I miss those cuddle days
. This made me think about what I work at the most and it is photography. I LOVE it and continue to learn each day a little something new.
A few weeks ago I was able to go down to HOT Texas to a Jinky-Art workshop. It was such a blast and I loved Barb. It was nice hanging out for a weekend with other ladies that share my passion. I do not really think of it as labor but I do work hard at learning and improving with each photo. This photo is from the workshop and these are a few of the other ladies that came to learn and absorb what Barb had to teach us. It was a wonderful experience. This photo is the very first night we arrived and we were out under a HUGE tree in the middle of a field taking photos of our models, Linsey Stuckey, in our blog circle, and her family. Super cool!
Remember to continue to blog circle and check out Nancy Schumacher, Thompson,ND Photographer http://www.nancyschumacherphotography.blogspot.com and see what she has to share.
